(Not a dietitian, not a health instructor, retired lawyer+health enthusiast here, I do my research before anything I do, because I have a lot of free time, and in my opinion, this is the best way to use it).

Want to pack 40 grams of protein in one yummy meal?

Have a sweet tooth and can’t have enough ice cream?

Want to feel satiated until dinner time?

Care enough about animals and the environment to adopt some vegan meals into your diet?

Starting to feel as if you were approached by a salesman from the 90s?

Yes- that was a bit aggressive on the marketing point -but I really think this a keeper, and can’t be happier to share it with you.

I  used the Myfitnesspal app to check the exact macros and nutrients:

These are the ingredients:

In a bowl-the same bowl you intend to eat of -no need to mess more dishes than absolutely necessary in my opinion- mix the homemade ground oatmeal (2 tbsp), ground flax seeds ( no way you are going to digest whole flax seeds. you have to grind them first-use any high-powered blender -( I love my Vitamix but have no shares in their company nor affiliated anything so use whatever), chia seeds, and oat bran for the fiber. 

In that Vita-mix- or a sturdy hand blender- put a frozen banana-yep it has to be frozen otherwise no ice cream- berries, a little soy milk , 1/3 cup cold water and a scoop of vegan (….) protein powder. blend till ice cream. pour to bowl to meet the dry ingredients. 

Eat!

Maybe it seems that this is a lot of calories for one “ice cream”- but- this ain’t no regular ice cream people.

THIS HERE IS A PROPER NUTRITIOUS HEALTHY FILLING POST-WORK-OUT MEAL, CONTAINING NOT ONLY 70% OF MY  DAILY PROTEIN INTAKE, BUT ALSO A LOT OF FIBER AND VITAMINS.

Plus- and this is a huge plus – it is so tasty and cool and satisfying and covers any sweet craving you might have- what else can a person want?
